Paediatric Clinic Appointments Melbourne

Making an appointment here at The Children’s Private Medical Group (CPMG) is easy!

(** Please be aware that we are currently unable to accept New Patient behavioural/developmental referrals, unless an immediate member of your family is a current patient)

Step 1

The first step to making an appointment with our practice is to obtain a referral. This can be from a GP or a Specialist. If your child is to see a specific clinician, please make sure the referral is addressed to them. If your GP is unsure as to whom to refer your child, they can review the Our Services section of our website which offers an overview of areas of interest and associated practitioners within the group.

Alternatively, your GP can write a generic referral to “The Children’s Private Medical Group” which will be assessed and triaged by a paediatrician to ensure your child is seen by the most appropriate specialist. Please ensure the referral has your child’s complete details, including best contact phone number for our reception team to contact you.

Step 2

Send your referral into us for triaging. All referrals are triaged prior to an appointment being booked. Please visit our Referral Upload page and follow the steps for submitting your referral.

Step 3

Wait for us to contact you. Once your referral has been triaged, you will receive a text message letting you know it's time to call us for an appointment. The triage process usually takes about 5-7 business days from the time we receive your referral but there are times when it can take a little longer. Please bear with us as we receive a large volume of referrals daily.

Step 4

Once an appointment date and time has been agreed to, you will receive an email from us confirming the details. You will also receive a reminder text message 1 week and then again 2 days before your appointment.

**Please note our current wait time to see a general paediatrician is approximately 12 months. Our wait times do fluctuate and appointments can become available sooner but there is no guarantee.
