Joints that move beyond a typical range of movement are referred to as hypermobile. Hypermobility is often found in association with other features such as increased skin elasticity, low muscle tone and low blood pressure. Fatigue, joint instability or pain attributed to hypermobility, may be managed by an Occupational Therapist using:

Peter is a Paediatric Rheumatologist and General Paediatrician currently holding appointments at both the Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Children’s Hospital. Peter studied medicine at the University of Melbourne before training in Paediatrics at the Royal Children's Hospital. Peter's Paediatric Rheumatology training was completed at the Royal Children's Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.
